Head Chef
Lead the kitchen operations of two restaurants in a fast-growing Lapland hospitality concept. As Head Chef you will shape menus, lead a motivated team and create high-quality dining experiences.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our two restaurants at Halo Igloos in Rovaniemi.
In this role, you will take ownership of daily kitchen operations, lead and develop the team, and play a key role in shaping the culinary experience and quality of our restaurants. The position offers a broad scope of responsibility and the opportunity to develop menus and concepts in collaboration with restaurant management.
Your responsibilities
Lead and oversee the daily operations of both kitchens together with shift supervisors
Plan staffing and resource allocation across both restaurants
Manage purchasing and supplier coordination in collaboration with the team
Ensure consistent food quality and develop kitchen processes and standards
Create and develop menus together with the Restaurant Manager and supervisors
Take responsibility for pricing and contribution margins of menu items
Develop additional sales products and concepts
Plan and manage staff schedules for both kitchens
Lead the development of the breakfast offering and overall breakfast concept
Ensure continuous improvement and high quality of the breakfast experience
What we are looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
Experience in staff planning and kitchen operations management
Strong background in menu development and cost control
Ability to commute to Vikajärvi (Rovaniemi area)
Fluent Finnish and English
Additional languages are considered an advantage
Valid hygiene passport
Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills
